Put the stories about all the bad things that have happened to your cubes in this thread. Hopefully it will make us all feel a little better. :p

I'll start. My friend took one of my store bought cubes into a swimming pool with him. Now it hardly even turns, and the stickers are peeling off.

An idiot to the core from my 'Magic Cube' (lubed) after a massive pop and slammed it against the ground.
He wasn't suppose to have it, idiots are so stupid >_<

I got home that day and first DIY arrived in the mail.

I left my cube outside a classroom (in a designated area where you can leave stuff without it being messed with) and when I got out, I found out that some jerk had taken it and kicked it or something, 'cause it was in pieces and one of the edges had been stepped on and broken. I had to replace it with a storebought edge and now my blue face sucks. I don't like 8th graders... even though I am one.

i left my VERY FIRST CUBE in my backpack and dropped it on the floor. the green center broke off and three or four pieces got smashed. i actually cried because i loved that cube. on a side note... it was vaseline that broke my cube. it ate away at the plastic untill it was weak enough to break. i'm gonna use silicone from now on.

I threw my very first cube in the air and I didn't catch it and it hit the ground and shattered... it was sad...

A couple of weeks ago, I dropped my V5 and the core split in half. Yesterday I got my replacement core and when I went to put it back together, I was missing a piece. F my life...

I also threw my first cube, didn't catch it, and a center broke off (it was a storebought). I tried to glue it back on, but...
Also, I popped an edge piece in soup once by accident...we had to dump it because it had lube on it, and we didn't want to risk anything.

I disassembled one edge piece of my Eastsheen? (I think) 5x5x5, and 1/4 of the cube popped, I was like 'NOOOO! It's broken for ever! >.<'... It take me 1 hour to assemble it. Btw: It has an interesting center-edge mechamism, the edges carry theouter center pieces. A tipp: Don't try to clone this, cost me many nerves XD

I threw my first cube too. Huge lockup on a great solve led to my immense frustration getting the best of me and chucking my only cube at the ground. Took me about a week just to find all the pieces scattered around my room. Two center pieces broke off, I glued them back on but the cube is still unusable. I have it sitting on a shelf watching over all of my fully-functional DIYs and keeping them safe :)

on the night that i got my first DIY, after i had assembled it and begun testing it to get the tension adjusted, it suffered a massive pop. i was able to track down all of the cubies but one edge, which took a week to find.

Lol, these sound just like fml's. That site is so stupid.

And I had one of my decent storebought cubes, and was stretching it and stuff using pestvic's method, and I was getting really excited because it was getting to where I could turn it really fast and cut corners pretty well. Then the orange center piece snapped off. I use that cube for replacement parts now.

My ES5 was on a table at a competition once and a friend accidentally knocked it off onto the floor. It completely shattered and later I found that the core had broken in two. Oh well, we were all starting to use V-cubes anyway :)
