i want to do underwater solving but i wnat to know if anything would happen to the cube negatively?
other than stickers peeling.
btw i am using a rubik's storebought cube.

what would happen if the springs rust? and about how many times would you have to solve it underwater for it to rust? and how could you clean all the water out?

I've solved my cube underwater before - it hasn't rusted or anything, and the stickers were ok too. Cubes actually turn remarkably well underwater.

As long as you don't do it regularly, I assume your cube will be fine.

Also, you should use a DIY ( if you own one, I know you said you are using a store bought)...that way you can completely disassemble it in order to dry out all the water and thus preventing rust.

i've never seen so many typographical errors in one place.

Look who's talking. *glares at your post*

A story for underwater cubing:

So I only had 2 DIYs (or 3 or 4, I can't remember exactly...). One was stickered and for normal solving, the other was tiled and I was planning to use it at my cousin's house back east where they have a pool. So I got there and cubed in the pool a little. Ok, cool. Then I leave my cube on the side to do some normal swimming around and stuff. I go to jump off the diving board and catch a football, but before I do, my uncle decides to throw me a cube to catch which I do not know is coming. I couldn't have caught it anyway since, go figure, IT HIT THE CORNER OF THE DIVING BOARD. It smashed the entire cube apart with 2 or 3 centers still screwed in. Everyone was diving to the bottom to find all the rivets 'n' stuff, and we finally had it all, so we put it in a Ziploc bag and left.

Then I opened it and remembered that I had forgotten to dry the pieces and it was all rusty and I could not use the cube again. (I salvaged all the pieces and center caps though :) I am still missing two centers that are around here somewhere, hmmmm....)

Moral: Don't eat before you go in the water :D

Edit: Just try to use cubes that you don't really care about for underwater cubing. Or cubes you care about a ton, then you just have to be careful ;)
