Ultimate lubix mod - Problems.

I've done some Ultimate guhong mods (in my two ''old guhongs'') the last months, and everytime after breaking in the lubix the cube gets pretty good, but the next day suddenly a face of two are more rough than the other ones, and after some time the cube is just to tight. Have to loose the cube and then ''pop party''.

I don't understand why this happens, but I think it has to do with the screws ''scratching'' the washers and then these giving extra friction, as well as the lubix below and above the washers becoming sticky.

I have the tensions as all Ultimate guhongs, quite tight. Just enough to have 45º corner cut and no lock-ups, as well as no pops (about 1 every 200 solves, mostly while scrambling). But as I said much slower than expected.

Anyone has a solution, or had the same problem?

The washer has a rough and a smooth side. Have you oriented all of them the same way (smooth side against the screw)??

Smooth part facing down below the spring, that part I got right. That's not the problem.

Are all the tensions equal like not the feel, but when you are assembling the core, you put all the tensions equal first. and then you loosen or tighten all of them equally. Check by disassembling the cube and pulling the centre pieces and seeing if the spaces are equal. Happened to my friend and once he fixed it, it worked.

All my tensions are equal, checked before assembling the edges and corners. I usually tension the cube again after 2-3 days (to the initial tensions) but it's just not the same.
