Type a or FII?

Between the two I liked the FII better. Knowing what I know now I would not have gotten both because I don't like accumulating a million different rubik's cubes.

Between an unmodded F-II and A-V, I'd pick the FII. I'd say the most popular preferences lie between an F-II (modded or unmodded) and a sand-downed A-V/Haiyan Memory.

I can't say much about an A-V or Haiyan Memory, but the FII stickers are crap. Also, the caps of the edges fall off easily if you drop it from a small height or slam it on the table after a solve. Otherwise, it's very nice in terms of fluidity.

Or sometimes just while solving :p

First of all...If you want to get an AV and you have 20 bucks, get a Haiyan Memory, its basically a mass produced Modded AV. It eliminates lockups and the company lubes/tensions the cube already. Therefore, I will compare the FII to the Haiyan Memory

Back on subject...the FII Haiyan memory, not AV but they are the same thing are pretty different in feel when you are cubing. My Haiyan Memory is very clicky but fast and had great corner cutting. I can cut a little bit past 45 degrees... I know, your probably like wth. One thing to note is the Haiyan memory feels cheap but thats probably because alot of the plastic is cut away. Another thing to note is that this cube rarely pops. The only time it popped was when I was testing how much it can cut corners.

The FII is also a very good cube. It is pretty smooth and not so much clicky. It is one of the better corner cutting cubes but it cannot cut a 45 XD. The FII is also known as one of the best out of the box cubes. Plus it comes lubed :D. One thing to note is that the FII is known for being a bit too fast meaning that it will overshoot a little bit and may get a bit too uncontrollable when you are cubing. For this reason, I've had the cube pop before in a solve but its only happened like twice so its nothing to worry about but i've heard that after you break it in a couple days it gets a little better.

Personally I prefer my Haiyan Memory because I can control it a lot better but I could easily switch to an FII since the FII feels very nice. Either way you can't go wrong, they are both verrrry nice cubes

Get both a Haiyan Memory and FII. It's only a grand total of 30 something dollars. Then that's all you really need for your cubing "career" for 3x3s (excluding stickers, lube, etc.).

I got an FII, but I'd love to get a Haiyan Memory soon. It's kind of hard to tell which one you prefer before actually TRYING them out.
