Trouble with Cube4you.com

My mom ordered some stuff for me, and it came up with a result like this site does not exist anymore, after she put the credit card number in, no receipt or anything. For all i know they can be taking the money right out of her bank.
That is like the only place to buy black DIY's and now im not so sure about it, i mean, rubiks.com breaks too much and ebay, well...its ebay. so if anyone has any suggestions about where to buy one..please help.

First off, rubiks.com DIYs are great, and I've never broken mine... Anyway, cube4you.com is a legitimate site. I've put a bunch of orders from them and it always works. I'm annoyed with them because it's been 4 weeks since they said my order shipped and I haven't gotten it yet. Other than shipping, I've never really had any problems with them.

I understand how you feel about ebay, but I've had good luck with Puzzle Proz. Here's a link to his ebay store:

masterofthebass, if you've placed an order and haven't received the product, I'd suggest disputing the charge. I don't know whether you paid via pay pal or credit card, but either way you can dispute the charge and you are protected against fraudulent charges. Two weeks is a reasonable amount of time to wait for an order from China. If you've waited longer I'd suggest following up.

I use PayPal, so I didn't have this problem before...
make sure you are using Internet Explorer? Their website doesn't really work well with Firefox.

Abbracadiabra, he can't really do anything, because cube4you tells you it can take at least a month if you ship by china post. Always buy the more expensive shipping, it comes in a week, and you can garuntee it will be here by Christmas.

I ordered a DIY from cube4you and after a month we contacted him and asked him what happened and he said he got the order but not the payment so we told him what we ordered and now it feels like waiting another month for them.

And 9spuzzles is basically the same thing as Cube4you, as for PuzzleProz, I'll take your advice for it

Don't ever feel like Ebay is going to cheat you out of your money or anything like that. I used to think everything from ebay is like cheap or whatever; boy was I wrong. I have ordered a cube from Cube4you and I just don't want to anymore >.> It takes way too long for it to ship here (approx 3 weeks waiting time).

I've ordered twice from PuzzleProz on ebay and it's so much faster. Takes like a week and a half tops. From PuzzleProz, it ships from Hawaii instead of China so it's much much faster. Their cubes are nice too.
Oh yeah if you decide to buy from PuzzleProz, I would recommend the lube, it's really good.

My issue, was I didn't want just a DIY. I ordered on of the newest versions DIY, a 9cm 3x3, magic DIY stuff, and a couple of normal DIYs. That's why I'm kind of forced to go with cube4you.

be patient. for me cube4you works great. i posted today the 5th order...all the previous 4 were fine.

I just got an order from cube4you (2x2, 3x3 DIY black, 4x4, 5x5, square-1) and am in general happy with everything. The 4x4 and 5x5 were smaller than I expected, since I had only seen the bigger rubik's versions before. The 4x4 works like a dream, but the 5x5's combination of small pieces and tightness make it frustrating to use.

The wierd thing is that in the DIY black that I got, I have all the pieces screws/washers, but not any springs. I will just pick some up from a hardware store, but I was wondering if this is normal? If so I will make certain to order springs next time I get one.

The deal with credit card payment is that it is different than bank account payment. When finishing on the order form you have to check the 5% more or some percent like that for credit card orders through paypal. They wont steal your money. i have talked to him and made the very mistake that you did the first time. he didn't accept the first payment and so i never paid the large sum that i originally thought i paid. I talked to him and he told me that HE HAS ANOTHER ACCOUNT JUST FOR CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS, EVEN THROUGH PAYPAL. you should contact him and tell him what you did.

vlarsen, this is not normal. I bought 6-7 cubes ther and they always came with springs and everything (it is a small bag inside the cube bag). They must have forgotten
