Since it is hard to tell someone how to improve just by a vague summary or even a breakdown, I figured that actual footage of beginner's/intermediate's solvers solves would be the best approach next to actually driving to their house and giving them advice.

The instructions are easy; just post a video of you solving a puzzle (not restricted to both handed, sighted 3x3x3 solves), and then someone a few posts down could give you advice. It would also be easier on the viewer if you tell them your method, your status on it's algorithms, possibly a breakdown (and maybe your credit card number ;) ). It would also be nice to tell how that recorded solve differed from your usual ones (quicker, bad lookahead, lockup, etc.)

Here's mine:
I got a quick OLL, and a rather hard to see cross.

Nice thread idea

Your cross was pretty ugly, yes. Also, your f2l could definitely be improved. Try looking at one of the example solves threads. Your tps seems pretty good also. LL is fine at the moment.

Any tips?

Yes, I do actually.

Remember that the year is 2010, not 2008 ;)

This thread wasn't meant for just me. It was supposed to be a thread about how to get accurate advice on how to get faster. I would think this would've caught on...

yeah, don't do the cross and 1/2 of f2l before you start timing.

Well, I would think that lots of people wouldn't make a video just to ask for tips. They could just describe what they think are bad habits in their solve in say, the One question/One Answer thread.
