I would check out http://www.ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/cube.html and also http://www.cubewhiz.com/ for some straight forward tutorials. Personally, when I switched from LBL to a better method, I used Fridrich's site for the F2L plus intiutive (my own) and Burtons for the OLL's and PLL's. Find the one you are comfy with and go to work on it. You can easily cut your time down to 30-45 second in short order with some effort.

Read the Fridrich site because it will give you a good idea what you are trying to acheive.

You might not be ready to switch - you can easily sub 1 minute with your current method or better.

However if you feel that switching to a new method will make you better (it's not a magic solution), then check out badmephisto's intuitive f2l video (here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k-xbcAMfWwM). I would persevere with LBL for now and try and get a bit better just by practicing, otherwise you might be a bit disappointed when you make the switch. You've got to remember just learning the entire ZB method (advanced method 300 algs) or something like that wont make you suddenly average sub 15, it will in the long run but you've got to work at it (a fair bit).

With your LBL, trust me, you have tons of room to improve. Take some averages, post your unofficial records to the unofficial records section at speedcubing.com and practice a little every day for the next couple of weeks - I'll guarantee you improve.

thanks a lot thats really helpful thanks guys

i guess i just wanted to become really good really quickly but i see it takes skill and practice thank again

Look ahead and finger tricks are all also integral to speedcubing success. Unfortunately, those also require extensive practice and time.

The one big concern I have is that, if you switch to a Fridrich F2L and your look ahead is bad, it might take you forever to recognize the cases.

Other that that, if you want to try to become more advanced, go for it!

Well, that's actually a good point! I totally forgot about that! Yeah, wiggles, do your cross either on your left side or on the bottom. It will feel very strange at first, but will eventually make you faster. Also, it helps with fingertricks.
