Hi all,
I had previously (on two occasions) released sum-of-rankings calculations in the form of tab-separated text files, posted in the "Odd WCA Stats" thread. Yesterday/today, I decided to make sortable html tables out of the (updated) data. The first two links in the "Links" spoiler are of this format. The tables are sorted by sum of world rankings by default; click on the header of a column to sort the whole table by that column (total rank, name, wca id, etc). Yes, this means you can sort by country and gender, and you can also view the event-by-event rankings just like on the WCA site.
Do be warned that these pages contain a lot of data. The initial loading will be slow, and after clicking on a header to sort, it is very likely that you will get one or multiple "unresponsive script" messages. If you want the sorting to be carried out to the end, click "continue" on each of these messages to allow it to do so, and be patient in allowing the calculations to finish. Of course, you can click "stop script" to stop the sorting if you want.
-These tables implement "stable sort", meaning ties in the category you are sorting by will be settled by the previous ordering of the tied rows. So for example, if you sorted by Clock rankings, then by country, the ordering within each country will be by Clock rankings. If you wanted them to be by sum of world rankings, you'd have to sort by that again, then by country.
-The row below the headers, in short, indicates the sum for someone who has never competed before.
-The ranking numbers in the leftmost column do not change - they will always correspond to the sum of world rankings.
-"0" in the gender column means the person's gender is not recorded.
-As before, the magics are not included since they will be removed at the end of the year.
-The second two links in the "Links" spoiler are the tab-separated text file versions like the ones I had been releasing previously. The names/countries/genders are on the right since long names throw off the alignment of the columns.
-I'm using Excel for the calculations and literally copy/paste to notepad (with an internet tool to convert the excel spreadsheet to an html table) to create the html documents, so updating takes a while and will only be performed every couple months or when I have time. I will hopefully look into more efficient ways to do the whole process at some point.
-The results from DJ Speedcubing Open 2012 are not included - I downloaded the export before they were posted.
-Sorting script comes from here: http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/sorttable.js
-All results from here on 10/20/10: http://worldcubeassociation.org/results/misc/export.html
-I probably don't know how to fix any browser/phone compatibility issues, but I'd welcome any help in doing so.
Questions, corrections, and suggestions are welcome (but first read the notes spoiler)!
