StackMat Gen 2 Timer

Sometime, hopefully tomorrow, I'm going to be purchasing the StackMat Generation 2 Timer, mat, and nylon carrying bag. Before I made the purchase I wanted to know if there is anything else I should know. It is a competition version, so I should be able to hook it up to a tower and maybe soon to my computer.

Ps. it also has the feature of saving your best times and the dates.

Note: The newest timers have not been tested with CCT (Cal Cube Timer). I'm not saying they won't work yet, just haven't been tested. Let me know if it works out, because I just ordered a timer today, and if it doesn't work, I'll ask for a new version.

Not speaking for anyone, but I would bet that if it's not compatible the CCT guys will be willing to make the necessary changes.

I am concidering purchasing one myself. not especially that one. just any timer.

I sure will. The UPS Tacking page said I should be receiving it Friday, so if I'm not too busy cubing with it I'll leave a message here! What is an output timer?

It just feels more official with the timer!! People like Gungz and Chan don't use one, but still get really good times!

"Output timer" means you can connect the stackmat to a tournament display. Recently a program called CCT has emerged that allows you to connect the stackmat to a computer.

Okay, StackMats said this timer has that data port for the display tower.
