I was playing with my square 1, and the middle layer fell off. Originally, It was fine, but then one random day, the turning started making some annoying squeaking noises. I took it apart, and when I put it back together, I couldn't get the center outside layer back on, like, the one that you hold while you solve. Was it superglued to the screw or something? If anybody has any information, please post here. I was hoping to go to TOS with it, so...

if it's squeking, i assumed it's the spring turning against the srew
try to sand down a bit the upper and lower edges of the spring. Using WD-40 for the springs and screws also works, but make sure dont let any of it reach the plastic

No I meant, you know how theres two pieces in the turning mechanism? the circle thingy on the inside and then the outside part that is curved around the circle? The outside part fell out.

As for the averages:
3x3 = 20-21
sq-1 = 40? maybe

We will be in competition.
I average about 19 - 20 on 3x3
and about 36 - 38 on Square-1

hey Jason. um there should be a screw that holds the circly piece to the outer piece...show me the square-1 someday and I'll see.
