What kind of tech do you think will be in speedcubes by 2026? I think GAN will release a cube with 1296 magnets with 69420 possible combinations. The GAN 17 Maglev Pro UV coated triple adjustment system 360 degrees auto-alignment with 10 settings of magnet adjustment and 69 core magnets. Only 356 dollars. BUy nOw!

Honestly, I think that cube design won’t get that further.
If a cube has too many magnets, it will auto-align so much, and that will just be annoying.
I’m pretty sure brands like GAN are gonna be the same flagship 3x3 every yearr.

that was a GAN joke, but yeah, 3x3 innovation is at it's limit. But i have an idea. What if they REMOVED corner to edge magnets, and moved it to the corner feet like in the MoreTry Tianma. With the same corner to core magnets and maglev. I wonder what the performance would be like. Maybe it would be softer while being stable. I dont know.

One which has magnets such that it auto-aligns to its solved state. GAN will release it as the GAN 17, quickly followed by Moyu (which will release it with a huge box, 37 indistinguishable versions and a storage case which is also a cage for your pet Guinea pigs).

I'm hoping for a square-1 with more adjustment than one screw.

One aspect of speedcubing that some people may neglect is personal health, as in fatigue, hunger, sleep, etc. I would be intrigued to see how companies can make sure people are healthy enough to reap the benefits of their cubes.

Maybe they would make a cube where you can store medicines inside the caps of the pieces and there will be an alarm telling you when to sleep, and food inside the ball-core. Hmmm, sounds good to me, i'll go to China and present it to GAN

ok seriously, I think they could tweak and make combinations for features that already exist, and features that are underrated. Like a MoYu cube with adjustable springs, corner-to-edge feet magnets with an option for an 8 magnet ball-core version or a 20 magnet one, and then they REMOVE the standard corner to edge magnets. I imagine that it would be softer while feeling loose, yet stable and more "centered" because all the magnets are in the inside.

Or we could stick to you know, GAN 17 with 69,420 possible adjustments. With free GAN cake with 1296 possible flavors if you buy from their website.
