Hey

so far, i've only been averaging around 43 seconds
What do u guys think is the best method 2 speedsolve?(fridrich, Lars, Roux..)
Right now i'm doing the fridrich method, but i only expect myself 2 go nmo more than the 2-look OLL
and i'm prob. not gonna learn the g perms until i find a way to identify them

Plz help
Thx :)

If you're averaging over 30 seconds, don't worry "which method is the fastest" (whatever that means).

In my opinion, getting good at several different methods is a necessity if you want to become a good cuber.

easiest would be petrus. There are less cases in it. But intuition should tell you that less cases => higher times, most of the time

And identifying Gperms is actually quite easy. Align the 2x1x1 solved block with its color by doing U/U'/U2 to 'solve' it. Then turn the cube in your hands doing y/y' to have the two corners with matching sticker colors on left. Then the location of that 2x1x1 block will clearly tell you which Gperm to use. I think there is a video on this on youtube, try to search for it.

Or alternatively, every time you get to a G-permutation (which I understand is one (four) of the most common), just stop, take your time, and analyse which one you need to use, find a familiar pattern that works for you.

I found a reasonable fast way, and might as well use it here. There are 4 g-perms, and straight away you look at the corners to see if they need to be cycled clockwise or anti. That way you eliminate 2 of them in one step. Then you can tell which one to use by the position of the 2x1x1 block =)

Less cases? That's wrong: If that were true, then there would probably be more Petrus users.

Less cases implies higher times? That's wrong: If that were true, then there wouldn't be too many Fridrich users for F2L.
