Hi all!

I open this post because i really need to improve my smooth, and I would be pleased if you share your methods to do so (like practising with less illumination, or practising big cubes...)

I write in this post because I have the problem that i stop too much while doing the cube to watch the colours

video of me solving the cube but looking too much

OH average is around 24-25 BUT PLL time attack i do less than 1'40 average (i think, because of what i know, that that's good:D)
Five minutes ago i just did a 1'35.77", wich i like it pretty much

Thanks to everybody

yes, sorry, i meant look ahead

i have the problem that i think too much, so times are worse than what they should be:confused:

thank you

PS: i depart now for barcelona open
thanks for everything and see you on sunday!

Isn't training look ahead the same with OH and Two hands? I mean doing slow while looking at the next piece?

haha yes, he does.
I have the same problem.. I think all we can do is practice.

It's fun that you, Lofty, say you have problems with smoothness. :) I mean ,since you average sub-20. But I guess we all can improve.

I wonder how the top asian OH solver can do it sub-18 on average!? Is it because of the 'unusual' technique with ring finger R' and stuff!? I'm still going for sub-20 average with my own technique. That is, the technique I started with and practiced with by myself. It's plainly, holding the cube with thumb and long finger and turning it with ring and index finger. I have to change a few algs for OLL and PLL that are not suited for OH to get a sub-20 average, but I'm getting there quite fast.

I don't know how fast the other best europeans are (Milan, Edouard, Thibaut, Johannes, Rama, anyone else?) nowadays, but I'm really going for the gold at the EC in Krakow. I'm hoping for a great challange.

Tomy is able to average sub-17 because he can sub-10 average his F2L and turns pretty quickly for the LL. Higo can average sub-17 because he just plain turns fast! Its insane how fast Ryosuke turns!!
I originally learned by myself the use index and pinky but then I adapted the Japanese finger tricks because they just looked so smooth and they really are.
As for me I think the only think stopping me from being as fast as Tomy and Ryosuke is my smoothness in my F2L, In the beginner section Shelley said F2L should be so smooth its one long alg and mine is no where near that! Its because I don't practice 2H ever. And I have only ever had one sub-20 average, next closest is 20.00 average... but I can get a 20.xx average pretty easily now.

do you know a video of ryosuke?

just to see his speed :D

i really love speed OH cubers. I move fast, but i stop too much

in barcelona open I achieved a 25'45 average (less than NR) and a 19'90 NR but with PLL skip

i'm really happy :D

thank you for the video
