Should I Buy This Timer?

I had a look at some timers and found this being $18 cheaper than other sites:

IS there a reason for it being much cheaper?
Will I regret buying it or anything?

they're fine, my only gripe is the green light takes a little while longer to come on, meaning I sometimes start the solve w/o starting the timer. iirc you cannot connect it to a computer, which is another minor concern.

Why would I need to connect it to the computer.
And when does the green light come on? After you've placed your hands on the timer?

I have no intentions of getting a mat, too much money on something so simple.

You can get a Speedstacks timer from the same site as the one you just linked. It looks expensive but really, it's about the same price as on the official Speedstacks website because they have $9-$10 shipping iirc.

Pros:
It does the job quite well.
It's much cheaper than a stackmat.

Cons:
It takes longer for the green light to light up when beginning a solve
It can't hook up to a mat or a computer.
Compared to the stackmat, the timing is barely off (becomes more apparent when timing reaches over 1 minute)

I would say buy it if you want a stackmat but think it's too expensive. I have it and have no trouble using it.

You say that now but after a few thousand solves your desktop looks pretty beat up.
