Purchased: Champion Cube Store 27th of July
It has potential, and like a lot of ShengShou puzzles (4x4-6x6, Pyraminx, Megaminx for example) needs modding to be really good.

After 200 solves it's pretty good but not AMAZING. Sorry for **** video quality, kangaroo wifi is not great.

probably talking about upload speed, it actually took me hours to upload each video on my channel (I don't live in Aussie, but internet speed here isn't exactly good either)

Compressed this from 420mb to 14 and it still took 20 minutes or so to upload. Also Jay's solve was cut cos 3 min software.

Was way too clicky but instead of modding, just took the ball bearings out of the black Skewb, it seems a lot better. Can get close to 1s for Uperm compared to mid-high 1s normally
Jay is doing an average with it now, he thinks it's at least on par with his best LanLan and it doesn't pop.

I think the click is still necessary, I think once I mod the tracks so the Skewb has a small click, it'll be really good.

So this Skewb definitely needs SOME mod

5.35 avg100. First 100 solves with the ss skewb only without the balls. No lube, tensioning, and basically no break in.

Thoughts on the puzzle:
First impressions was that the skewb is really, really clicky. It took a while for me to get used to the feeling of it, coming from a unmodded Lan Lan. After doing a couple averages of 12, I would say that it is definitely worth getting if you have an unmodded Lan Lan. Lock-ups aren't that frequent, but I have had two pops already and many near pops.

Edit: After removing the ball bearings, the skewb is much faster and is popping much less than before.

ShengShou Skewb [Review]

4.44 ao100 on Unmodded shengshou with no balls.. No lube no tension, little break in. Definitely worth it.

edit: had a bunch of .02's and crap in there, 4.69 ao100. This is the best ao12
