[WR] Ryan Pilat Square 1 Single: 3.41

Lots of serious cubers never smile lol. 4/7 comps have been delegated by Evan Liu and I have only seen him smile 3 times. Watched some of his former world record, no smile…
A lot of comps I went to were organised by Charlie Stark. He never smiled. If you look at his former WRs, no smile, look at his more recent NRs, doesn’t smile either he more just looks relieved. But for some reason his WCA pfp has him smiling, which is odd. Anyway I’ve said enough, he does have an SS account and regularly checks these forums, so this could be one of my dumbest posts ever, but whatever

Evan Liu is fantastic. He's actually really fun to be around--I think he's just locked in during comps because he runs them AND competes in literally everything.

Hi it's me, I don't think it's a dumb post lol.

On my WR single I was initially relieved that I finally got a sub-7, and then surprised that it was sub-6 and WR as well. I was happy but you can't see my face in the video. I do have this reputation for not smiling or reacting though.

Evan is cool, I talked to him a lot when he lived in the UK for a few years. He cut most his video reactions short, not that they were massive or anything.

As for the record today, that scramble is ridiculous and I don't envy the nerves getting it in a comp.

He didn't even execute this one perfectly. 3.41 and there was still room for improvement. SMH.
I didn't see the video when i wrote this. he still executed it well enough to get wr so why does it matter. Its probably good he didn’t get a time that would never be broken. Chill boomer

Doubling down and then painting Tabe as a drama freak. Alright.

A flawed WR but a WR nonetheless. Square-1 still has a lot of room for growth!

When considering how insanely lucky this scramble is, a 3.41 for someone who is ranked 12th in the world for average isn't great. Don't disrespect people and paint them in a bad light
