Hi I've been working on f2l, 2 look pll and I'll and my time seems to have increased by like 2x more than usually my ol avg was 50 sec now it's 1:10!!! Is it because I switched my c4u cube to a alpha Iv?

Most people get slower as they learn something new. As everyone said, practice and have patience. Worst case, stop timing yourself until your solves become more consistent.

I recently learned full PLL and my times are much slower than 2-Look PLL however, I have noticed over the past few days that as my execution/recognition has improved so have my times. However, I am still slower than my 2-Look which is to be expected.

50 to 70 is not doubled, that a should be an and i'm pretty sure you can't just turn a cube4you cube into an Alpha-IV

My advice to you is to learn f2l without algs at first. When you feel you master f2l somewhat, you then check out the algorithms for the standard f2l cases. It's a good bet that most algs will be the same as your intuitive way.

And for those cases where you find the algorithm approach to be more efficient... learn them ;)
