For those who have bought the cube4you diys, do any of you find rubik's diys or the 3 by 3 rubik's studio cube better? Because i have tried to reduce the lock ups when cubing. I have eliminated about 70% of the lock ups by varying the tension in the screws. When i see speedcubing videos, i see that their cubes do not lock up at ALL. So thought of trying out cubes other than the ones from cube4you. Any recommendations? ;)

I have used studio once, cubeforyou and rubiks.com they all vary, it is the USER wich make the cube lock up most of the times (or you just have an crap cube ).

I prefer rubiks.com for ''speedcubing'', but cubeforyou is great to bring it along on the road, people may drop my cubeforyou cube, since it is not that of an expensive cube

Ps. Do not compare the cubes on Youtube!! <_<

Thinking about it, why would someone upload a video where they lcok up loads :)

My studio cube is crap, pops and it its no even lubed.

I have a non DIY rubiks brand, and after 8 months of several hours of play every day. It's pretty nice, it used to be my main cube!

Cube4You, this is now my main cube. It turns well, and I love it! If you are going to get some from Cube4You, its probably worth getting 5 or something. As Rama said, you can have 1-2 which are mess about cubes. And have spare parts aswell.

Sorry I also forgot to mention that it is very important to put the screws straight into the core, or else it allways get stuck/bumpy and it will immediatly or later crack or break.
