Hello.
As the title states above, I need a tutorial, text or video (video preferred), on how to solder in pins into a V6 and YJ 4x4.

What I tried to do was to put a blob of solder onto the rivet. Then, I would grab the pin, and have the tip laying on top of the blob. Then I would melt the solder so the pin would slide in. I adjust the pin so that it faces up. Then I remove the soldering needle and let it dry and harden.
^Noob at soldering.

So can anybody make a tutorial on how to properly solder in pins?

Super glue isn't working for me.

DajioCube has made a tutorial for modding a YJ 4x4.

Soldering isn't really gonna be any better. Super Glue is your best bet. If it keeps falling out, just be patient and let the pins dry for 2-3 days. Mines kept falling out and I didn't wait 'cause I wanted to play with it :P. And make sure to get a big blob, but not a lot.

And the moral of what you have to say is...Have some effing patience.
...Fine.
Okay, I JUST came up with an idea as I am typing this.
1)Super glue in the pin...sigh.
2)This way, like on an electronic circuit board, the pin is sticking out and ready to "bond" with the metal rivet. I'll just follow careful instructions.

Now my question for this is, will the solder react negatively with the super glue?

Alright. Sorry for the double post. But now I thought of something else.
Even if I WERE to succeed (<-yeah right) in soldering the pin, when I pushed up the center pieces, it looked like it would buldge out. How would I fix this?

Soldering the pins in isn't necessarily a bad idea. But it would be difficult.

You have to heat the pin AND the screw for this to work. If you don't the joint will be weak. It's called a cold solder joint.

It's very difficult to hold the iron, the screw, the pin and the solder.
You also run the risk of melting the core if you try to heat up a screw that still attached to the core. You'd need someone to help you or use special tool like this:
