Hi, I'm a filmmaker in NYC, and I need to find a local speedcuber for a scene in a short film. I'd love to post a casting-call of sorts on this forum, but am unsure of exactly which discussion thread to use. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hello,

Here is a fine place to ask, lots of people see this in the thread index. Here also is a list of the fastest speedcubers in New York, all of whom are at least sub-11 seconds.

# Name Best Time City
1 Rowe Hessler 8.19 Shirley
2 Ricardo Lutchman 9.93 West Hempstead
3 Nicolas GERTNER 9.98 toulon
4 Phil Yu 10.25 New York
5 Daniel Rose-Levine 10.29 Red Hook
6 Zach Goldman 10.63 New York
7 Brandon Delacruz 10.71 West Hempstead
7 Brandon Delacruz 10.71 West Hempstead
9 Aryan Kejriwal 10.77 Manhattan
10 Alexander Eryomin 10.81 greenport
11 Matthew Rich 10.83 Lagrangeville
12 Christopher Chi 10.86 Bayside
13 Anna Leidner 10.94 New York

This is massively helpful! Thank you so much for this info, and I will try and reach out to some of the individuals on this list.

I actually live in NYC these days... I'm not super fast though, just a 10.51 official average.

For the purposes of this project, any time under 20 seconds is desirable. If you are over 21 (the scene takes place in a bar) and are available the week of 4/22 - 5/1, feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you are interested at all. Thanks so much!
