Qiyi Pyraminx popping and tension

hey everyone, I just picked up the Qiyi Pyraminx. I broke it in with about 100 solves then took it apart to lube and adjust everything. The ballbearings I loosened 1/4 turn ( from 12 o'clock position to 9 ) and lubed with 30k on the hardware and 10k on the pieces. Then a drop of 25 wt shock oil. tensioned it till it felt great and it pops really bad. Can someone possibly tell me what I did wrong or anyone who has this puzzle explain their setup? If I tighten it up to get rid of the popping the puzzle requires a bit of oomph to turn. Is this how it should be? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I also have that puzzle, It was really loose and popped a lot.
Try tightening it.

That's actually what I ended up doing.... It doesn't pop anymore but is really stiff like it is too tight. Got a lock up on it this morning lol. I'm still messing around with it and will probably just use it for idle solving or somthing to have in the car. It is a nice puzzle no doubt but after my modded Shengshou and Moyu Magnetic Pyraminxes I guess I just expected something much faster/easier to turn... I might mod it into a Tetraminx or bandage it.... I don't know
