I have been a bit slack with my PLL lately, but i started learning a few new cases and now know a bit more than half of PLL cases.

But is there anything you can do to help the recognition of the particular case?

I find that i waste a few seconds on cases i am not too familiar with... even when its like a U perm or corner rotation somestimes i dont see it until i rotate the U face....

Any tips or something?

practice practice practice
if you do it enough you will start recognize cases really fast from only a few pieces and from different angles. I mean i suppose if you wanted you could set the case up on a cube and study it then set it up with a different color in the front and study it to get a feel for what it looks like... I wouldn't really recommend doing any more than just practice lol.

I agree with Lofy you just have to practise practise. And try to look at unique caracteristics of each case easy to recognise that will help

Initially when I started learning PLLs ,I used to get confused and spend a while recognising the PLL I didnt know. But once you are done with all the PLLs recognition becomes much easier(At least you dont have to filter out PLLs you dont know).Other than that its just practise I believe.
