So, the optimized pochmann method is the same as pochmann, but an little bit of no-flip.

So during inspection, you want to inspect both sides and once you started the timer, connect the center and top. (C and U)
This will give you an head start so that there are already 2 connected clocks + you know what pin to do.

I do heavily recommend 7-Simul if one wants to get really into clock. I completely plateaued with flip, but with 7-Simul, I'm getting very close to being sub-5 after a few months. It is hard to get down, but it is 100% worth it in my opinion. However, I would say that flip/Pochmann is still perfectly valid. You can get amazing times. Heck, some of the last WRs (3.56 Ao5 and 2.77 Single) were with flip, and those are extremely close to the current 7-Simul world records (though more and more of the top 100 results are with 7-Simul now). I switched to 7-Simul because I was personally getting nowhere with flip after I hit sub-6--it simply worked better for me. If you want to get good times but don't want to invest as much time into learning a completely new method, I think that flip is still completely fine.
