i am from australia, but i think it is a good idea considering it's in canada and in perth there is only 3 a year and it used to be 1! (so you got my vote!)

I live in Ontario and yes, we do need more competitions. I could not make it to London Limited Spring 2017 because registration filled up very quickly. However, I don't see myself having the time to organize an entire competition, nor do I have the resources.

I have recently set up a competition and had a great experience! Everything didn't go as smoothly as I would I have liked, but I would recommend it for people who don't have many competitions. The hardest part was finding a venue and getting a delegate to come. I had to email a few before one said they might be able to come. Just keep trying.

FYI organizing a comp in the GTA/Ontario isn't as easy as you think it is.

Also, 5 or 6 competitions a year isn't that few, that's one every two months.

Probably has something to do with the fact that GTA competitions would pull 400-500 competitors if left uncapped.

As Kit already mentioned, we could easily get 500 competitors coming to a competition. Our last competition in London (1.5 hours outside of Toronto) was "small" and had 120 competitors sign up + a few hundred on a wait list...

So, finding large, affordable venues that are suitable for competitions in the GTA is near to impossible (believe me I've helped a lot with venue searching).
