one handed cross

i've been solving with one hand a lot lately, since cubing has become something i do as a side task, such as while i'm doing homework, on the laptop, on the phone, etc. i average around 33, and one of my problems is probably the cross. maybe all of f2l in general. for the cross, i seem to rotate the cube many times to get the pieces to where they need to be. are there any tips on how i can reduce this? my cross is probably 5+ seconds. and for f2l, i also seem to be cube rotating multiple times, but sometimes i can't help it when i can't solve the case from where it is. any suggestions on this as well?

well, solving certain f2l pairs is really time consuming when you do it at another angle, so that's why i just rotate the cube. i rarely use my thumbs, because they don't help much either. i use my right hand for one handed cubing. i use to make the cross on the bottom like how i normally would, but i started doing it on the left side, which didn't really help much either. what should i do about this?

try using fingertricky cross moves instead of optimal?
and why is doing f2l pairs from other angles slow?
surely doing pairs from other angles is actually a bit faster than spending a load of time messing around moving the cube?
why not just use wide d turns instead?
perhaps try and integrate your cross more into your f2l, as in do 'extended keyhole'?
mess around with multislotting too (the L/L' move is extremely important).

when i said that doing f2l pairs from other angels is slow, i meant the ones that involve many F and B moves, so i just rotate the cube once. d' works for me, but not d, since i'm a right hand cuber. i don't know, i'll just try to figure out some things. i do quite a bit of cube rotations, but it doesn't slow me down by a tremendous amount. like i said, i average around 33, but that number is still very unsatisfying to me. i'll just keep on practicing
