Hey everyone, i started cubing just last week and my best time is 1min and 19sec. I been practicing atleast 2 hours a day, my Goal is to get under 20 sec (SIGH) I am a noob to the rubix cube so please help me out.
whats sub-30 mean, i c that alot?
whats intuitive move or step mean?
Is the phamplet that comes with the cube the layer by layer method?(thats what i use)
whats f2l and whats the fastest method?
when should i learn a more advanced method( i heard after u get 1 min or less then you should advance.
Thanks 4 the help in advance. I am dedicated to learning the cube.

Welcome,

sub 30 means faster then 30 seconds
intuitive means using intuition, not algoriths you learned.
The phamplet was probably layer by layer. Layer by layer means you do everything at the bottom (4 edges, 4 corners), everything in the middle (4 edges), everything at the top (4 edges, 4 corners)
F2L means you do only part of the bottom (4 edges) and then you do 1 corner of the bottom layer + 1 edge above it in the middle layer at the same time. If you repeat that corner+edge 4 times you have solved the First 2 Layers. F2L is a very advanced layer by layer system and if you also use OLL (all colors facing upwards) and PLL (all pieces at the right position) you have a Full-Fridrich solve. Full-Fridrich requires cross (intuitive, analyzed during inspection), 4x1 F2L alg, 1 OLL alg and 1 PLL alg. It is used by almost every top speedcuber. Other fast systems are Roux and Petrus so you should look at those at well to see which you like best.
1 Minute seems like a good point to advance. If you want to learn F2L but don't want to learn all algs for it at once you could learn keyhole (also named working corner), which is a subset of F2L. (I recommend deepcube.net)
