Hi there! I'm Jon, I come from Ohio (insert interesting Ohio fact).
I've only been solving the cube for a couple weeks now, I bought my Rubik's brand 3x3 the day after Christmas. I had always fooled around with the cubes when I was younger but nothing serious. I was instantly hooked after I learned I could actually solve the darn thing, and on top of that, it was fun!
I've ordered a few different cubes from c4u, (A-V, C4U Interchangeable, F-II, and a 2x2), just a few to get the feel of differences, but I'm still waiting for them. I started off kind of rough on the original I bought on the 26th and it's really feeling flimsy now. :x
I started off at around 2/3 minute averages, but in the last few days after working on pre-inspecting to help my cross and just getting quicker I average about a 1:10 now. I plan to start attempting to learn OLL/PLL pretty soon, maybe once I get to 60s average.
I also enjoy tech, pretty much all types of it, I'd consider myself a borderline geek. :3
This forum seems to be one of the best speedcubing sources and has an active community, I'm glad to join.
Thanks!
