Hi all.

I bought me an original Rubik's Cube 2 weeks ago and I Had to learn how to complete it. So I learned a beginners technique with following steps. Corners, first row, second row, yellow cross, adjust the yellow cross to the 4 colors, put the 4 corner on position and last step swap remaining corners with R', D', R and D until it's in position. The real beginners method.

Now, I'm learning the cross every solve so that's no problem. Instead of learning every f2l by mind at the moment, I'm trying to swap around a bit until I can put it down but that's working for now (I use first 8 f2l algoritms).
But I want to learn a new technique for yellow and last layer. I understand OLL and PLL if I can see the algoritms but that's a little too much at the moment.

If I want to start learning starting from f2l, what technique should I look into and is easy to remind? I want to do some 'speedsolves' and want to get rid of my technique. I'm solving at av. 1.50 with 1.28,88 as record with my technique.

My first Dayan Zhanchi arrived today too, so while I'm trying to get used to fingertricks, I can learn some new moves.

I would recommend learning intuitive F2L instead of learning it by algorithms. It's much easier and requires a lot less work. You can supplement some cases with algorithms later on.
2-look OLL and 2-look PLL are good options for the last layer. Total there are less than 15 algorithms and you should know a few of them already. Welcome to the forums and good luck!

Watch badmephistos how to solve a rubiks cube it is way faster then the method you are using.

I was trying to get this hint. I looked into it, but wanted a second opinion what I Should learn first bedore starting to learn 100 algoritms

F2L is the way to go and yes, learn it intuitively. You don't need algorithms except it will help for some tricky cases. 4LLL (4-look last layer) is also what you should start with. And then do full PLL when you're up for it. With the 2-look OLL that's only about 28 algorithms. Even full OLL and PLL is only 57 + 21 algs which is 78. Not that bad. But seriously, the main thing to do at your speed is practice.

It's all I'm doing. But now with a Dayan I don't want to continue doing it the wrong way. Learning new algoritms instead of doing the same old while learning fingertricks.

And what a difference if you're used to twisting a side with the wrist with doing a move now with a Dayan :O

I thought there was already a thread where new cubers should go to for advice. That would really help instead of them posting repetitive threads, right?
