Hi,
I'm completely new to cubing. I got hooked watching YouTube videos last night and decided this is a hobby I definitely want to get into.
Haven't even bought my first cube yet but I'm going to Walmart today just to grab a rubik's to start with while I decide what I want to order.
Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
I would recommend just getting a proper speed cube, and not spending 20 dollars on a Rubik's brand, as there are better speed cubes for a cheaper price.

great to see another new cuber. always ask questions. thats how you get better. Shop Speedcubeshop.com and purchase either: qiyi ms (7 usd), rs3m 2020 (9 usd), or for a more expensive option, x man tornado v2 (25 usd). every cube has magnets which makes turning more accurate. consider getting yourself a stackmat timer (also on speedcubeshop) and a cubing mat. I wish you much luck during your cubing journey. it may seem tough and intimidating at some time, but if you truly love cubing, it'll love you back.

Welcome in the cubing community.

If you have enough money and want to start cubing immediatly, you can buy a rubiks brand cube, but these are the worst on the market.
You will not have fun with it and replace it as soon as the mailman brings you a better one

Moyu RS3M, MoYu YS3M, Moyu WRM or X-Men Tornado are good cubes for a reasonable price. Also most GAN cubes but they are very expensive and not better than the other ones.
You could also buy a Gan Monster AI or Gan i356 Carry. They are not tournament legal and not as good as a "normal" speedcube but they have bluetooth connection. You can see you solution, the number of steps and the time on you mobile and they have training tool to learn and improve algorithms.

Search for a french or at least european shop. If you order in the states or china, it will take forever until you get your cube

I find that if you ever get good finger tricks then the GAN 356M is grate that's what I use and I know that it's £25 but It's worth it.
but some would not agree with me.

Welcome, I would recommend getting a few recent 3x3s and definitely not the Rubik's brand.

See which cube feels the most comfortable to you and start learning LBL (Layer by layer).
