new cube lubing?

when you buy a new cube and its really tight, if you lube it does it damage it?

i heard if you lube tight cubes somthing bad happens?

If you've purchased a DIY cube then all you have to do is loosen the spring tension before you dismantle it for lubing.

If you have a store bought cube all you have to do is take it apart and lube it. (Stiff cubes will not be ill effected through the process of lubing. In fact lubing your tight cubes should work to loosen them up.)
