New 2x2 Method?

Hi I think i have discovered a new method for 2x2. It is sort of like an ortega/petrus hybrid. First you solve a 1x2 block, and then using R and U face turn only, you can solve the first and second face, always bringing you to an ortega case with a bar.
If i am incorrect, or do not have this fully yet, please direct me to where it is.

It is Sortega. Never heard of it till now. Although, It always brings you to a bar case. and sortega doesnt

If I understand correctly, the only difference is that you form a 112 block instead of just putting two stickers of the same color next to each other. As a result, you're avoiding the PBL cases with Y on bottom.
