[NAR] 24.67 FMC mean - Ryan DeLine and Walker Welch

Just amazing... this is what makes me want to get more into fewest moves. Looking forward to seeing the solutions! :)

The moment you've all been waiting for, here are my solutions

Moves in parenthesis are on inverse

1. R' U' F D2 R D2 F2 L B2 L' B2 L2 B' U2 F L B D' L U' R B D R' U' F

(F L D2 B) // EO
(F2 U2 F2 U2) // 2x2x2
(D' L2 D) // Blocks
(F2 L F2 L D2) // L5C

Skeleton: D2 L' @ F2 L' F2 D' L2 # D U2 F2 U2 F2 B' D2 L' F'

@ = D' B D F2 D' B' D F2 - 2 Moves cancel
# = F' U2 F D F' U2 F D' - 2 Moves cancel

Solution: D2 L' D' B D F2 D' B' D L' F2 D' L2 F' U2 F D F' U2 F U2 F2 U2 F2 B' D2 L' F' (28)

2. R' U' F U' R2 B2 D2 L2 D2 F2 U' B2 U R' F' R D2 L' U' B F2 D2 U B R' U' F

(F D) // 2x2x1
(U' R) // 2x2x2
(D' L B2 D) // 2x2x3 + EO
(B2 L B2 L2) // F2L -1
(L' B' L B2) // L4C

Skeleton: B2 L' B L' B2 L' B2 D' B2 L' @ D R' U D' F'

@ = L' D R2 D' L D # R2 D' - 4 moves cancel
# = D R U R' D' R U' R' - 5 moves cancel

Solution: B2 L' B L' B2 L' B2 D' B2 L2 D R2 D' L D2 R U R' D' R D' F' (22)

3. R' U' F U2 B2 D U F2 L2 D F2 R F R2 D2 L U' R2 D' L D' B D' R' U' F

(L F D' B' R) // EO
U' D2 F // 2x2x2
B2 U' B U B U // Pseudo F2L -1
D' B D // Pseudo F2L
U B U' B U B2 // L3C

Skeleton: U' D2 F B2 U' B @ U B U D' B D U B U' B U B2 R' B D F' L'

@ = B D' B' U B D B' U' - 7 Moves cancel

Solution: U' D2 F B2 U' B2 D' B' U B U B D U B U' B U B2 R' B D F' L' (24)

Thank you everyone for the Congratulations! This was one of my long term Cubing Goals to beat this NAR / WR (at the time). Also very happy about the single too.

1. Scramble: R' U' F D2 R D2 F2 L B2 L' B2 L2 B' U2 F L B D' L U' R B D R' U' F
Inverse: F' U R D' B' R' U L' D B' L' F' U2 B L2 B2 L B2 L' F2 D2 R' D2 F' U R

Start on Inverse
i F L D2 B' // EO
D2 F2 D2 // 2 2x2x1s
B2 L2 // 2x2x3
switch
n D' R' D R F2 D2 // 15 to L3E3C

Skeleton: D' R' D R F2 D2 L2 # B2 D2 F2 D2 B @ D2 L' F'

# - (L' F2 L R' D2 R) // Edge Insertion, cancels 1
@ - (B U B' D B U' B' D') // Corner Insertion, cancels 2

Solution: D' R' D R F2 D2 L F2 L R' D2 R B2 D2 F2 D2 B2 U B' D B U' B' D L' F' (26)

Found about 10 Edge insertions that were 6-movers that cancelled 1, looked through as many as I could but wasn't able to find anything better than a 26. Optimal in IF did happen to be a 26 which I was a little bit surprised at.

One other thing I didn't see until after all the attempts was my Solution had B2 D2 F2 D2 B2 inside of it, which also can be solved using F2 U2 F2 U2 F2. Maybe there was another edge+corner insertion combination that you can switch those and can cancel moves from that.

2. Scramble: R' U' F U' R2 B2 D2 L2 D2 F2 U' B2 U R' F' R D2 L' U' B F2 D2 U B R' U' F
Inverse: F' U R B' U' D2 F2 B' U L D2 R' F R U' B2 U F2 D2 L2 D2 B2 R2 U F' U R

All on Inverse
F D // 2x2x1
U' R // 2x2x2
D' L [D] // 2x2x3
[D'] B2 D // EO
B2 L B2 [L2] // F2L -1
[L'] B' L B2 // L4C

Skeleton: B2 L' B L' B2 L' B2 D' B2 L' # D R' U D' F'

# = L' D R2 D' L D R2 D' - First Corner Insertion, cancels 4

New Skeleton: B2 L' B L' B2 L' B2 D' B2 L2 D R2 D' L D @ R U D' F'

@ = D R U R' D' R U' R' - Second Corner Insertion, cancels 5

Solution: B2 L' B L' B2 L' B2 D' B2 L2 D R2 D' L D2 R U R' D' R D' F' (22)

I couldn't find anything for about 20-25 min until I finally looked at Inverse and I found the 2x2x3 very quickly.

IF also optimal.

3. Scramble: R' U' F U2 B2 D U F2 L2 D F2 R F R2 D2 L U' R2 D' L D' B D' R' U' F
Inverse: F' U R D B' D L' D R2 U L' D2 R2 F' R' F2 D' L2 F2 U' D' B2 U2 F' U R

Start on Normal
n L // Partial EO, reduces to 4 Unoriented Edges
switch
i L2 F' U2 L' // Finish EO
F // 2x2x1
switch
n D2 // another 2x2x1
U' F' U2 B2 // 2x2x3
R2 B' D' B D' // 16 to Good L6C

Skeleton: L D2 U' F' U2 B2 R2 B' D' B [123] D' F' L U2 F [456] L2

[123] - (B' U2 B D B' U2 B D') - cancels 3

[456] - (F' U' F D F' U F D') - cancels 3

Solution: L D2 U' F' U2 B2 R2 B' D' U2 B D B' U2 B D2 F' L U F D F' U F D' L2 (26)

I also was running out of time and couldn't find anything so I started looking at Partial EO and switching. Found this EO 2x2x1 start and figured there had to be something here. Finally got this with about 25min left and checked insertions and nested for everything I found.

This was also optimal 26 in IF.

Dang. Incredible stuff. You and your EO every time haha :P
