It was a week ago today that I injured my right hand [how? i will not tell], my thumb to be precise, not broken, wasn't too bad but bad enough to be in a splint (strained the docs said)
Despite this i turned my head away from the right had, and looked at the left hand to improve my OH times, and over the next week boy did they improve.
Days 1 - 3:
I mostly got used to the splint on the right hand, tried OH over and over again no averages though, realized that i was better then i thought (previously thought to be >50s), but it just might've been because I couldn't really use my right hand at all not totally certain. After awhile though I would eventually get tired of doing it one handed over and over again, but what else could it really do? So i kept cubing.
Days 3 - 7:
Got an average one day, a good 42.40, a 5 second improvement from 5 days before (before i hurt my right hand). I just keep practicing, like between spawns in 2142 or between rounds in WC3. Then today, i finally took the splint off, and let me say it has never felt better to preform a t-perm. Anyway then i do an average, sub-40 by a little more than 1 second at 38.92!!
So thats how i got sub-40 in OH if anyone is looking on how to do that,
::Just don't practice anything else for a week, (hmmm not sure about that one haven't tested times in other puzzles yet, also see here! )
::Try to use your OH cubing hand as much as possible to build up, (i had to use my left hand for almost everything, probably helped a bit)
::When you're doing everyday tasks just take a break and time (or don't time) like 3 OH solves or so.
Thats how I got sub-40 in OH in (actually a little less than) 1 week.
