My first competition in a year! (Brisbane is back on 2021)

[TNL Cubing]

Wanted to share what this experience was like. Unfortunately, due to a busy schedule at the comp, I didn't get much of a chance to vlog properly, but here is a little montage with some thoughts at the end.

I missed comps so much ;-;

Our best hope right now is Western Champs 2021 in late June, and by the looks of it, we will be able to hold it with some restrictions as long as enough vaccines are distributed in time.

here's to hoping there aren't any complications with the vaccine rollout! Western Champs seems a bit ambitious in terms of timing, but it is possible public health authorities will allow it. Western Champs is a big comp generally though, which may influence the final decision. It will be interesting to see how many people will actually register for the comp.

yeah, the trump administration isn't rolling it out very fast, but only 1 more day of him, for better or for worse.

Well, the state of Utah (the state the comp is in) is estimating that a near to full rollout of the vaccine will happen before western champs. I think there could be a lot of restrictions, possibly not allowing anyone to compete from outside the US, however, I am extremely optimistic about it. The competition registration is actually full too, but I think they might truncate it a little if required.
