Alright, so I was on one of my spontaneous Google search sprees, when I stumbled across an article about a brain disorder called Misophonia. Essentially, a Misophoniac (I think that's the term) is someone who involuntarily associates small sounds (Such as breathing, coughing, etc.) with strong negative emotions. Then I started thinking about how, when I'm cubing, even someone coughing from across the room distracts me and throws me off, mainly because I can't stop thinking about how annoyed I am. I'm not sure if this is Misophonia, but I was curious if any of you have had any similar reactions to this kind of thing.

That's not misophonia. That's just being annoyed by coughing. We're all annoyed by coughing, especially if it's occurring while you're focusing intently on something. That's not a neurological disorder.
