metro gnome for clock practicing????

Metro gnomes are those things that tick at a rhythm that you can set. In clock, im currently flat toeing at 3.5. I though of an idea, just hear me out:

for 7 simul btw: set the metro gnome to tick at a speed so that 7 ticks is maybe how much you currently average. Once that is done, slowly in cement up the metro gnome to a speed that is targeted by you.

And I do like the idea. Perhaps I will try it when I go after 3BLD again. I am really slow at it, but I still think it might help by using it to count ticks for each pair memorized / solved or such.
