Nup.

Just make a star/cross then do F2L twice and then solve the top slightly differently.

hehe I meant putting it back together as the pieces. Also, I sprayed some CRC on the pieces, but i had it on cheap newspaper and some of it bled onto the tiles. Is there any way to get it off?

LOL - I can empathize Kemp_Drumsalot! I took mine apart last week and had a heck of a time putting it back together again. I think that puzzle is easier to solve than to put together, although it comes apart pretty easily.

I finally got it back together by working in four piece blocks. I'd place two edge pieces on the bottom star, then place the corresponding corner piece between them and then the edge piece that goes in the layer above that corner piece. Then I just worked my way around the megaminx putting in edge-corner-edge so that I had the first two layers complete. Once those first two layers were in, the megaminx became more stable and it was easier to get pieces into place without the pieces from the other side falling out.

Hehe, I actually found it easier when I was doing it to build stars on each one, and THEN put the corners in instead of doing it layer by layer. Once you have all the edges in, it stays pretty stable.
