well this is a question and a idea at the same time

i have seen that making cuts on a storebrought ( similar to ghosthand 2's ridges) , helps it.

are there any other way i can make my rubiks storebrought better ( other then the sand thing)?

yes. i think the best solution would be to change core which has springs. and when you storbought will be kind a similar to DIY. i tried it, it works :)

I think especially if your storebought is new, actually put sand in it (make sure there are no rocks are big chunks lol) and work it around then wash it out and such and it will make it a lot better.

Also put lube after that...

When you lube a brand new Rubik's 3x3 with high viscosity silicone (lubix like), it gets really slippery and awesome (except that it can't cut corners), I think it's because the plastic is still really smooth, but this wears out after a while. I did the memory mod on the corners and lubed the core with HV silicone on one of mine and now it's decently good. Forcing it to cut coners helps too (like in pestvic's video).

Lubing them makes them better. But then there's the fact that you can't set the tensions.....just save and then buy a DIY.
