I have searched but can't find an easy answer for this but I am quite new so maybe I am just using the wrong terms.
A few years ago I got a Fangshi but drifted away from cubing. I came back to it after buying a 4x4 recently. I decided to give another 3x3 a go and got the gts2m as I thought it may help with my sketchy technique. I really like it and I run into far less problems than with the fangshi. But i have noticed sometimes that when I go to spin a right or a left it can sometimes end up turning more than one layer and does a wedge turn instead. No I can counter this by overlapping my thumb or fingers onto the middle piece. But I have noticed that some sides are much stronger than others. I haven't take the cube apart to look, but it makes me wonder if a magnet is missing. The cube came with a load of magnets with no instructions. I am guessing these are either spares or a set of different strength?
Just wondering if this a common problem with magnetic cubes and I just need to alter my technique slightly to adapt to it?
