On some of the solves, there isn't even a pause, it looks like a one step solution :D

it is.

apparently he uses a method that completes 3/4 of the FL(doesnt have to be permuted), then solves the cube. since 3/4 can often be obtained in 0-1 moves, he can lookahead through the entire solve. its like super SS, or SSS

i dont think he knows all the cases though, so he just uses EG.

I'm sorry I use only 42 CLL algs, no EG no SS...

wow. there are a lot of myths surrounding you then! well you "were rumored to know" that ridiculous SSS thing, but i had heard from a number of reliable people that you were the first to use EG.

oh well, thanks for setting the record straight. i didnt know such times were possible only using CLL, but with enough lookahead i guess it is. great job!

wow, amazing times.

Anyone know what timer he's using? I've never seen it before.

i believe he is using RubiksDJ, in recording mode. it is an awesome timer, its what i used before CCT. the only reason i use CCT now is because CCT has 3-gen 2x2 scrambles and RDJ does not, and i suck at scrambling. RDJ is cool because is tracks your best singles and averages for each puzzle, and you can save your stats to a history. it also graphs the times for your best average and for your session(really helpful for avgs of 100+). it also tells you what time you need to beat in order to improve your RA. it also has all the features of Jnet, with the beeping countdown and whatnot.

i recommend that anyone who is using Jnet should switch to RubiksDJ, just google to find it.

Tim, you should post some videos!

yeah tim you havent posted a vid in a while, and i really like watching you cube. you have an interesting style

I do? That's interesting.

for 2x2 at least. just going off your 2x2 vids from nationals, you look like you are turning slow, when you are really turning quite fast. if it wasnt for the display, i wouldve guessed most of your solves were around 5.5 seconds. thats just my opinion though. also, the purple is awesome. i knew you used purple on your site, but i didnt know until recently that you used it on your cubes too. is there a story behind that or was it just because you could?

YAY! someone like me. But my CLL algs aren't optimized for 2x2 :( but I can get sub 6 sometimes :p:p great job

Those videos are up? I really don't want to see them. Currently, the only puzzle I use in competition that doesn't have purple on it somewhere is the Rubik's Clock. Cubesmith purple is a nice color.

The story behind purple is simply that I don't like orange, and ES cubes had purple, so I thought I'd be consistent with it.

You can use CLL + a trick, add the 0/0 or the 0/1 perm to the beginning or the end of the CLL and you can do all EG's: it makes more turns than optimal EG-algs but you only need one look after FL is done.

The 0 and 1 cases must be solved as it was the inverse case if you add the perm alg to the end (it's easiest).

Hi Lukasz,

Congrats for your average.
I just averaged 3.3 secs out of 100 cubes.
That will be close in Bilbao... Let's see who break the WR.
