lubing?!?!?

DO NOT sand the inner surface of the cubies. this will create much more friction slowing movement speed alot!
I did it once and learned my lesson ;)

but well I think I read somewhere that sanding specific areas would make it smoother. but I am not sure where..

just lube your cube with regular silicon and use it alot for making it smoother.

but it would be nice if you found a procedure that is good! it would be cool to be able to make a speed cube in one day ;)

i got my diy cube from cube4you.com. i put it together played with it a little bit lubed it then and i think i got a good speedcube now. took me a few hours. or are you talking about preassembled cubes? if so then it really takes time. i got a cube right now from a friend and this one is so stiff i m working on it now for three days and it finally looks a little bit better now. hope i can give it to her tomorrow and that she wile be pleased

I am planning to make a video of how to sand the inner parts of the cube. It really isn't that hard but is very time consuming. Plus depending how smooth your cube is you may need to sand a very little or a lot. I have sanded several cubes and they all turned out amazing btw. So I will try to have this up in August. I know it is far from now but I will be away all summer. If you email me I will give you some instructions of what to do and where to sand.
