i havent cubed for around five days because of basketball starting up again right after school, then after that i have to relax, eat dinner, do homework, and go to bed. so i have no time for cubing anymore except on weekends.

i am worried that my times are going to stay the way i just timed them, 1:43s

i dont want to start all the way from there again, what do i do??

i had that happen to me aswell, I had lost my cube for about a month, but I got my times back up to par in about 2-4 days. It is a lot easier.

Well are those times without warming up?

I'm sure most cubers are engrossed in other activites other then speedcubing. School makes it impossible for me to cube during weekdays and sometimes even weekends (finals comming in a week). I haven't really got slower; but I do get bad averages. You can't really expect to make new records every cubing session :/.

I at one point in time didn't cube for about a month, and I thought i was gonna forget everything, but once I did a few solves I was starting to get it then after a couple of days I was improving from before I stopped. Just keep at it whenever you can and I'm sure you wont get slower.

I agree... I'm starting to pause my cubing during weekdays so that i can keep up with my homewok... hmmmm... wish i was schooling in new zealand..

Yes, I have stopped my cubing for almost two weeks..............hope that I won't get slower..............but anyway, practices make perfect!:D

haha you guys are worried that you will get slower... well i started cubing 5 months ago and after cubing for 2 months i stopped and starting playing computer games the entire day cause it was my school holidays i did only i think 6 solves the entire 2 months and when i picked my cube just 4 days ago, i played with it for 2 days and started timing myself... guess what i broke my personal highest and my average..

Personal highest( 2 months ago) : 54 sec
Personal highest( 2 months later) : 43 sec

Avg (2 months ago) : 1 min 2 sec
Avg(2 months later) : 51 sec

LOL weird!!! but it still suck cause i was lazy to learn OLL and PLL during the holidays

Actually, slncuber21, I'm comforted to hear that you're also having that problem. My daughters had both improved a good bit (not quite as much as you - Rebecca's best average is more like 1:20), but recently they haven't practiced much, and their times are back near 2 minutes again. But I've watched Rebecca's solves (my 7-year-old), and she seems more efficient in her solves than ever - she's just lots slower in execution. I have a feeling her times could be better than ever with just a couple of hours practice to get comfortable with it again.
