Hello people. I was wondering if liquid wrench is a good lube for a store bought cube. I have read is some threads that it kills your cube and in others it just needs time to work in. I think it might be some people have diys and some are using store boughts so please help!:confused::confused:

I have never seen a thread that says it kills your cube... From my experience with it when I would lube it I would just have to work it in for around a day for it to be good. Then my friend brought over CRC lube and now I use nothing else.

Yes CRC is sold in WalMarts here for like less than $2!
I think CRC is way better than Liquid wrench. No smell, it takes about one solve to work in instead of a day, and i think the overall smoothness of it is better.
If it gets on the stickers, I just wipe it off and hope no damage is done... depending on your type of stickers it may or may not hurt them.

There's a lot of talk about the quality of CRC lube, but exactly which one is everyone recommending? There is a great variety.

I use liquid wrench (think the company is actually called Gunk though?) and it doesn't eat up my cube, and seems to work quickly but the effect doesn't last very long, from a few hours to a day or so.

i just cleaned the stuff off my cube. the smell wouldnt go away and it kept getin all over my hands. i will try again if i get some crc.
