Justin Thomas uses yau on 6 and 7, he's quite fast with it. Try out all methods and look which suits you the most

I use Hoya for 7x7, I'm not sure how affective it is but it doesn't seem much slower/faster from standard Redux.

There are a few solvers I know, including myself, that use Hoya for 7x7. So far, only 1 person I'm aware of is even sub4... and no one is yet within striking distance of someone like Lin Chen.

I do yau5 on 7x7, I'm around 3:42 on 7x7. Still have tons of room to improve though.
