Learn something new or getting better at something you're already good?

So I was thinking, I have plenty of hobbies, but I also want to learn new stuff like playing an instrument, chess strategies and new languages.
But I also want to get better at speedsolving events that I don't seem to progress too much currently with just practice

So if you would choose, would you...

Learn something new or getting better at something you're already good?

To be honest I would do both LOL
Because you can learn something else AND become good at it too while maintaining skill in other subjects.
That's what I did.
It is a bit tricky to maintain balance though...
