Let's say you have a situation where while during your last slot you notice that the edges have been oriented all already. This is good for you if you are doing ZBF2L and thus you have your step done for you you just need to preserve the edges. But, for a Fridrich user and maybe even a ZB user who has master Fridrich, this could be an opportunity for an OLL. skip. If someone were to make a list of algs for the Last c/e slot + LL Corner Control you could just look at the corners and which way they are facing and then apply the correct algorithm while solving the last c/e slot. This would be particularly easy if the edge of the c/e slot is already placed, then you can just focus on the corners. Maybe you could do Petrus F2L to orient edges and fix the last slots with an corner controlling algorithm. It is definetly something to think about. It could challenge the ZB method possible. It doesn't make LL any tougher, in fact it deletes OLL makinga three step system:

1. Petrus F2L
2. Last C/E slot + LLCorner Control
3. PLL

It is much easier than the ZB method.

It is possible (because it's been done) to achieve a sub 20s average with the method described below.

Petrus 2x2x3 Block. Add on a 1x2x2 block, then insert the

Last F2L corner, this will permute the LL corners.
Insertion of the last F2L edge will orient the LL Edges.
Finish LL with 2-gen LL :)

I've generated quite a few algs for this, mostly using ACube but also on my own. I think I know at least 50 plus reflections. But I don't have a clean list anywhere because I (want to) trust my memory, and even if I had I'd encourage you to find them on your own. Just download ACube and learn to use it, it's quite simple. Finding algs on your own gives you the option to optimize them for your own style (speed vs. move count, 2-handed vs. OH etc.) and you'll also get a better understanding of what's going on.

But if you think that low SD (consistency in other words) is the key then don't learn anything new like this, because mastering big sets of algs takes at least some weeks and during that time your SD should be higher than it used to be. In the long run it pays off but even then you will get more easy cases than before, so there's more deviation. I personally recommend learning new things, but it's up to you what you want.

I thought Bernard Helmsetter had found algs for this but I don't think he has a list of them. I'm not allowed right now to download any more programs(got too many already) so I can't use ACube. Too bad there isn't an online version of it.

It would definetly reduce moves though, this system.
