I probably just overlubed my cube and wasted about 3 dollars

So I was just doing a couple of white cross solves practicing some lookahead and getting great sub 25 solves.
I locked up during my PLL and suddenly caught on some pieces of the puzzle while doing a G perm and grabbed some Maru.
Like usual, I put one drop on one side of the cube and put another dollop on the other
I couldn't see any lube coming out and I just kept trying to get out the Maru
turns out it was coming out the entire time and i pretty much soaked my computer, wasted a few bucks and days worth of maru, and now my cube is gummier than ever.
any related stories to show some empathy?

Years ago, I put a drop of lube in every hole in my 4x4, it took months for it to smooth out again. (Before I learned how to lube properly)
Also, I was lubing my aolong V2 last year and when I squeezed the syringe, nothing was coming out, so I squeezed harder and then a TON of it came out and it was ruined for good - it was a good cube

Just disassemble the hardware, put in zip lock bag, add detergent, warm water (stickers will be fine) and shake. Keep screws and springs seperate. It will be fine. It's not permanently ruined.

I decided not to put the fine applicator tip on some wt2 and was trying to be very gentle when something startled me and my finger slipped, and I put about 1.5mLs of this stuff in. It's the quietest cube I own, and that's with a lot of breaking in (it's an AoLong v2). I kind of like it, not to main, but to mess around with.

I learned from my friends but with Maru, you want to put 2-4 drops in total.
First put 1-2 drops in between a corner and an edge, and then do an x2 so that you are on the opposite side and do the same thing, but on the other side.
For example if you put 2 drops on the left, when you do an x2, put 2 drops on the right.

This is ideal for Maru, other lubricants work differently and you put them In different spots
