Two things I'm passionate about:
  • Cubing
  • Writing shitty code
I combined the two and created a public API based on competition results by the World Cube Association.

The API is served through static json files on GitHub, that means the structure of the endpoints have limitations. The reason for doing so is:
  • The data doesn't change that much, max once a day
  • Static file based API is (or should be) very fast
  • I don't want to pay for any hosting because it could get very expensive, very fast
The API is updated once a day so rankings and results are not real-time.

The full documentation and specs are available on https://wca-rest-api.robiningelbrecht.be/. The code is open source and is available on https://github.com/robiningelbrecht/wca-rest-api

Feel free to provide feedback (with the limitations of static json files in mind), I'll be happy to add extra endpoints or consider any other feedback!

Also: I'm in no way affiliated to or part of the official WCA software team.
