How to practice COLL?

Is there a program that allows to choose edge-oriented cases better still specific cases to practice?

try to learn all of the cases for a specific OLL at once and then do normal solves up until you get to the COLL step. if it isn't an OLL case that you know the COLL algs for just learn the spot to apply a sune to set it up to an OLL you do know the cases for.

When I was learning COLL, I did this:

1. Scramble.
2. Solve using VHF2L.
3. Do COLL if I knew it.
3b. If I don't know the COLL, I refer to a list, and I memorize it real fast.
4. Repeat from step 1.
5. ???
6. Profit.

My way of practising any LL thingermabobber:

1.) qqTimer -> 3x3 subsets -> Last slot + last layer
2.) VHF2L + COLL (refer to above poster's 3b.)
3.) ????
4.) PROFIT!

So you guys apply VHF2L in actual solves or just practice? I am planning to just use COLL in cases when in come out without VHF2L.

Also, Yeah, i used to use VHF2L before I learned more algs and I have most of ZBF2L now.

I'm not sure if anyone uses VHF2L in competitive solves. Oh, apparently 4Chan used to, it just seems to be a waste for me. But, that is also how I'm practicing COLL. I may try Ranzha's way, as well.

I tend to just intuitive VHF2L. It isn't hard to figure out, it just is a little slow to speedsolve.

Practicing COLL was just a matter of repeating the algorithm over and over and over, just like what I did for PLL. Recognition will come once you know the alg. So my steps:

1. Memorize algorithm
2. Repeat algorithm
3. ????
4. Profit

I learned COLL before VHF2L but just 2-Looked my OLL.

C*LL is easy, just learn the alg, and match it up with the case to that you need to use it for.

if i had to give advice id say, learn to recog all of the cases before learning algs. If nothing else, learn which case (after performing your normal alg) youd have to do a Yperm and then after each case which way you AUF to swap two edges.

once you can recog all the cases just learn the algs.
