How to lessen moves?

In the video you say the scramble is -

D B2 L B D B2 U' D' F U R2 F' R2 D L2 B R2 L' U2 L2 R F U B U' (Blue front, White top)

But you must've scrambled differently, atleast switching B and B's because your cube doesn't match that scramble.

Editing my example solve in now.

z2 y'
Cross : R D' U' L F2 B' D2
F2L 1 : U L U L' U2 L U' L'
F2L 2 : L' U L
F2L 3 : R U R' U2 y R U R'
F2L 4 : y' R U R' U R U' R'
OLL : U F R U R' U' F'
PLL : x R2 D2 R U R' D2 R U' R

32 move Cross+F2L
16 move LL

48 moves HTM.

Agh, you're right. If you could still post your solution to the correct scramble (well actually just cross + f2l) it would help a ton.

F L' F' B' R' F B' D2 R D L U L F' R' D R L2 U F' D2 F2 D2 L' R

Post how you would solve that scramble including LL. Scramble green front, white top.

My solution:
Inspection: x2 y'
Cross: L F2 D' U R u R' u'
1st pair: y R' U' R U' R' U R
2nd pair: U L U' L' y U L' U' L
3rd pair: U L' U L
4th pair: U R' U R U' R' U' R
OLL: U2 r' R U R U R' U' r' R2 F R F'
PLL: U2 R' U2 R U R' U2 L U' R U L'

Yeah that's not right. The ' turns are probably off but I can't be bothered to spend any more time correcting it.

Post how you would solve that scramble including LL. Scramble green front, white top.
Starting with green on front, white top.
cross: U' Y2 F D' Y' F2 D F' R F
Now Im rotating so its yellow on top, orange front.
F2l: y' R U R' U' Y R U' R' Y' R U R' Y' R U2 R' U' R' U R U' R' U' R2 U2 R' U' L' U L U2' R U2 R' Y' R' U2 R U2 R' U R
OLL: U2 F U R U' R' F' U R U R' U R U2 R' Y R U2 R2 U' R2 U' R2 U2 R
PLL: *glance at all faces* Y' R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 U Y F2 U L R' F2 L' R U F2 Y F2 U L R' F2 L' R U F2

Edit: Thanks Rpotts

F L' F' B' R' F B' D2 R D L U L F' R' D R L2 U F' D2 F2 D2 L' R

Post how you would solve that scramble including LL. Scramble green front, white top.

My solution:
Inspection: x2 y'
Cross: L F2 D' U R u R' u'
1st pair: y R' U' R U' R' U R
2nd pair: U L U' L' y U L' U' L
3rd pair: U L' U L
4th pair: U R' U R U' R' U' R
OLL: U2 r' R U R U R' U' r' R2 F R F'
PLL: U2 R' U2 R U R' U2 L U' R U L'

That should be correct

So your entire solve was in the mid 60s ( I counted but just blanked out on the number). Mine was 122.

EDIT: also, your f2l+ cross was 18 moves less than mine. 18 moves at 2 tps = 9 seconds

Using the scramble provided in text

x' y' // Inspection
D M' // Cross (2/2)
y' D' L U L' D' // F2L#1 w/switched edges (5/7)
L' U L U R2 U R2 U' R2 // F2L #2 while switching edges (9/16)
U L' U L U' y' L' U' L // F2L #3 (8/24)
U' R U R' U2 L' U2 R U' R' U2 L U R U' R' // F2L#4 (16/40)
U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U2 // PLL (15/55)

Forcing an OLL skip
I'm also color neutral, which gave me a very easy cross

Your solution doesn't work

Separate the F2L pairs into one line each so it's easier to read.

Use lowercase letters for rotations like y x2 z' so it's easier to read.

Make sure you are using proper [wiki]notation[/wiki]

y rotations spin the cube in the way a U turn would so it would go from this

to this

x rotations move the cube in the way an R turn would so if would go from this

to this

I solve cross on top. I don't think that solver knows that

lolwut why would it matter?

If you need to rotate from the default scrambling position you need to put the rotations in the solution.

I probably messed up one letter somewhere >.< Im going to try to fix it...

I don't know what I did, or how to fix it

being able to do 115 moves in 43 seconds means that you are almost turning at 3 turns a second. That is actually pretty ridiculous since if you got your move count down, you could automatically be almost averaging 25 seconds, which I guess is why you asked.

Efficient F2L and Full PLL would be your best bet. Also, getting your cross to be good would probably help a lot. (In my experience, if you get the first step fast, then the solve is generally good.)

There are guides on F2L and PLL but for cross it is really the only intuitive thing and you can do it however way you want.
There are only a couple spots where a cross piece can be.

Example solve: U R' F U2 F D' L2 B' U F' B' R' D L' F2 R' B2 R2 F B2 U R' U' L' D2 Orange on top, green on front

You said you do cross on top, so I will do cross on top. Since we are trying to get the orange cross, we find all the orange pieces. One is already on the orange face, one is on the right face, and two are on the left face. To solve the cross, I see that on the left face, there is the orange and green piece that can be inserted with one turn of the back face. Since green and blue are opposite each other, we don't need to adjust the top face. So by doing a B', we get a line for our cross.

Now there is the other orange piece on the left face. It is orange and yellow and the left face is the yellow face. At this point in your cubing career, I'm not going to go into anything advanced but I would be able to do the cross in 5 more moves. But to get the orange and yellow piece, you would first do a L' to get the piece where the green and orange piece was and then you just need to move the line out of the way. You want to place piece in the right spot though so we do a U' and a B'.

Lastly we have the orange and white piece on the right face. We can do a R, F' and R' and get the cross. Then adjust the face to get the cross right with a U. We do the R so that the piece is in a good inserting place and then the F' we put it in the cross. Then the R' to place the piece you moved out of the way back into the cross.

So for the cross, we have B' L' U' B' R F' R' U. Maybe that helps.

EDIT: If I had this cross, I would have done B' U2 R U F' B U'
